Improve Your Circulation Naturally − Connect to the Earth: 3 of 3

Improved Facial & Abdominal Circulation

In part 2, we looked at a laser imaging study documenting the beneficial impact of grounding on circulation. In a subsequent 2015 paper, published in the journal Health, electrophysiologist Gaetan Chevalier reported the results of thermography (thermal imaging) on this same group of subjects.1

The findings documented even broader improvements, including facial and abdominal circulation, the lymphatic function that drains the body of impurities, and digestion.

Thermal imaging produces color patterns that correspond to changes in skin temperature reflecting normal or abnormal functioning of the body.  The variations and patterns of colors are interpreted by experts just as X-rays and MRI images are interpreted by radiologists.  The imaging technique is a widely used noninvasive evaluation tool and has been applied in thousands of medical studies.

Below are two representative abdominal images from the study:

Above: images from a woman participant just before grounding (left) and just after grounding for one hour (right).  The hottest color is white, followed by red and orange. Yellow and green are middle colors. The coldest is black, followed by purple and blue. The left image shows a hot neck area, indicative of congestion of blood and lymph.  The right image shows a greater uniformity of skin temperature, interpreted as improved distribution and balance of blood and lymph circulation.  There is less red, a decrease of congestion. A greater temperature balance is seen around the breast area after grounding, meaning better blood flow regulation.  In the lower abdominal area, improved digestion and decreased bloating are reflected by warmer coloring.

Images of an ungrounded male subject indicates a decrease in skin temperature throughout abdomen,
consistent with relaxation, but with no sign of improved balancing and distribution of blood and lymph,
or more efficient digestion as seen in the grounded subject.

Dr. Chevalier said that the abdominal thermal imaging of grounded vs. non-grounded subjects was “starkly different.” Grounded subjects had more uniform patterns, with less fluctuations in temperature, “reflecting more efficient autonomic nervous system (ANS) regulation throughout the abdomen.

Such efficiency is of utter importance, because the ANS orchestrates the operations of internal organs and circulation that are not controlled consciously, such as the digestive and endocrine systems, the heart, and blood pressure. The ANS also regulates the distribution of primary resources utilized by the body, like oxygen and nutrients.”

He said that the digestive picture of the two groups was also very different as well.  “The non-grounded subjects showed imaging evidence of bloat and retention of gas” – signs of less efficient digestion – “that we did not see with grounded subjects.”

My Bottom Line

Grounding research is new.  Less than 20 years old.  The studies are small, but striking, and clearly an opening into a new and promising healing frontier.  The findings have produced evidence of significant physiological shifts in the direction of a dynamically revitalized and healthier functioning body.

Many people are skeptical of these results, and I can understand the skepticism.  But having experienced benefits in my own life and having been involved in collecting some of the evidence, and also hearing from many people over the years how grounding has benefited them significantly, I know this is something great and worthwhile.

Humans have abandoned many aspects of Nature, including contact with the Earth’s natural electric charge.  I strongly believe that by reconnecting we tap into a profoundly simple, practical, effective, and cost-cutting way to combat common illnesses and pain problems, and make ourselves healthier.

It’s fascinating to think of the Earth as a medically-significant and natural blood thinner, relaxant, and anti-inflammatory agent.  A gigantic treatment table right beneath our feet.

It’s a gift from Nature as simple as walking barefoot outdoors.

 Caution: Grounding and Medication
Grounding has significant potential to improve circulation, glucose, thyroid, and blood thickness.

This may call for an adjustment in medication dosages.
Any patient on a prescription blood thinner or other medication should consult with his/her physician before starting grounding.
