Dr. Lundell's nutrition guidance - Conflicts of interest AND POOR INFO
. . .
Spacedoc's last two newsletters featured articles by heart surgeon Dwight Lundell, M.D. We need to listen in context:
.
--- He spent his career performing heart surgeries. For most cases of bypasses and stents, better results could have been gained by applying "healthy lifestyle" changes instead.
.
--- He now is a marketeer for supplements ("medical consultant").
.
--- His advice on nutrition is definitely not in agreement with the many real experts in the field!
.

My inputs on the optimal nutrition for humans led to this thread on diet and supplements. You can re-read my many posts. No need to repeat here.

If you want even more give and take, read the 310 comments to a recent article in the New York Times:

Also look at the health appearance of healthy lifestyle experts versus the "experts" in the spacedoc newsletters!

Dr. Graveline: "Optimal Nutrition" - Use Experts

Dr. Graveline (http://spacedoc.net) -- More emphasis on optimal nutrition for humans is very beneficial for your network of people damaged by statins. You could make a big breakthrough for yourself and all by learning and applying the education and advice from the real "Healthy Lifestyle" experts.

To name some great sources:

Dr. John McDougall, Dr. Dean Ornish, Dr. Neal Barnard, Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn (and his son, Rip Esselstyn - The Engine 2 Diet" book), Jeff Nelson at vegsource.com, Dr. Matt Lederman, Dr. Michael Greger, Dr. Milton Mills, Dr. T. Colin Campbell, PhD, Dr. Joel Fuhrman (though he markets supplements, too), Dr. Jay Gordon, Mike Anderson ( "RAVE Diet" and "Cancer Healing"), Dr. Pam Popper (The Wellness Forum), John Robbins, Dr. Steve Mulder, and Dr. Scott Saunders.

Here is my post on your forum today, in response to your last two newsletters with articles by Dr. Lundell ( his last article --

WAPF Nutrition - Nonsense!

WAPF Nutrition - Nonsense!
.
I have looked at and strongly reject WAP nutrition ideas.
.
I have posted the many logical justifications for picking a plant-strong diet as best for human health. To briefly summarize —
.
— It is the diet that we are designed to thrive on — we are herbivores from the mouth to the bottom, I listed the features.
.
— No other species consumes the lactation fluids of another species. Mother’s milk is ideally designed for babies solely for at least the first six months and preferably as part of the nutrition for the first two years. Human milk is a low protein, low fat, high carb substance. Most humans are normally lactose (milk sugar) -intolerant after weaning.
.
— I gave a huge list of the health problems with animal flesh foods. Switching to a plant-based, whole foods nutrition prevents, stops, even reverses the chronic diseases caused by consuming highly processed foods, extracted oils, and all animal products.
.
— I pointed you to the many real experts on “healthy lifestyleâ€
