First i didn't wanted to take these pills but after a while i agreed.
Fear has taken over and so agreed to take these other pills.

I founding myself again, depressed, lot of pain on my muscles and so on.
I quit again, this time its simvastatine.

Will someone slap me the next time when i make such a dumb mistake again.

Twin61, you are not stupid. We trust our doctors to know right from wrong. Unfortunately, they are only humans who are subject to all of our human failures like the rest of us. We need to educate our doctors that statin drugs are, in to many patients, a poison.

Unfortunetly a lot of doctors blindly follow whatever their local drug rep tells them and how much free product they can stick in his back room .

And in the UK most follow what our GOVERNMENT tell them since they are financially rewarded for conforming,

In my country its normal to give statins when you had a heart disease but even so for " just in case you ever might have or develop one".

I quit all this stuff, no statins for me.
Only have a combination of fish oil and garlic now.

But i could use some advice for a substitute for statins preferable natural

statin drugs

Recently, my doctor gave me a backhanded apology for having put me on a statin drug. Of course, that was after I had been on Lovastatin for 13 months and had developed severe leg muscle pain. He told me I may be having a reaction to the statin drug and took me off the statin drug. He told me that doctors have to walk a very fine line when it comes to prescribing drugs. If a patient has test results above what is considered normal the doctor must prescribe the appropriate drug because he may be sued for malpractice. Was that a backhended apology?

twin61: There have been some interesting results with Krill Oil. Do a SEARCH on that term in the FORUM and you will find more info.

Best,
