Next will be fish oil. they are already marketing a "superior" fish oil as an Rx.

If the FDA fall for that and pass it, then you know for sure that someone as in those who pass it, are 100% bought and paid by the drug company. That as we all know would be corruption and should have the strongest actions taken against those who would pass such an absurd idea like this and literally abuse the powers and trust that they have.

Did Google search on "fish oil Rx" and found the following instantly

WOW!! Now we have a new criteria for when a suppliment really works -- when a drug company gives it a funny name, advertizes it on TV, you have to get a prescription and it cost 10X as much.

Hej folks!! Go to http://www.clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/results?term=Lovaza and enjoy all the information being generated about use of omega-3 rich fish oils in diverse medical conditions. 86 clinical trials!!! Now, paying for all those would run up the cost of Rx O-3 fish oils.

Looks like a chance for us low-budget O-3 fish oil users to get some free information, paid for by the drug industry.

Enjoy,
Lars

PS: You might want to check for clinical trials using your favorate suppliment(s). Maybe more freebies. And surprises, good and bad.

My PCP actually prescribed this for me. It cost $150 for a medium-sized bottle of this "refined" fish oil.
