This thorough Dutch study may support the hypothesis that FH only becomes dangerous if/when the epiphelium is damaged and may have conferred survival advantage in the past :

Hi Fran. For some reason I have been unable to print the responses, other than the first by Staganario, on my computer. However I have sent the URL of the article to both my GP and to my endocrinologist who are both keenly interested in uncovering the truth (I receive chelation therapy from my endocrinologist to decalcify my plaques) and so are very supportive.
I have been on statins for nearly 17 years but now "the times they are a changing" thanks to Doctors Graveline, Ravnskov, Kendrick et al - and a big thank you to you Fran for all the time and effort you put into maintaining this forum, without which etc.
