Drug /supplement interactions

Postby catspajamas » Thu Nov 08, 2007 7:15 pm

I am on verapamil...In reading here about coQ10 and its helpfulness to many on this forum..I started taking it...I just found out you cant take coQ10 with verapamil...My new doctor told me that...Was to hard on my kidneys and I started putting out protein and some blood...since off the coQ10 my urine cleared up, Now I am leary of any supplement..
Is there a good site that one can find out how certain drugs/supplements interact with each other? Most drug sites don't include supplements like coQ 10 and etc...... :?

CatsPJs: Google: CoQ10 Drug Interaction. You will get a list of possibilities including the two following:

*http://www.umm.edu/altmed/articles/coenzyme-q10-000950.htm - This is an advisory panel. Provides you a list of interactions.

*http://www.medscape.com/druginfo/druginterchecker?src=google - This is a Q&A panel. Lets you enter any drugs you have questions about - two at a time, i.e. COQ10 + any other drug.

Regards,

Brooks
