thanks

YAACOVC: Go also to the following site, and search about four pages down for a list of links about statins, cholesterol, and CoQ10 depletion; all related to Statin use/abuse. This site was located by googling Peter Langsjoen (cardiologist); you may find many other links there that will interest you. Don't forget to remove the asterisk (*) before copying the following link to your browser.

What you're asking for is a tough request. That's just the way the medical industry works, or actually the way it doesn't work. :)

However, here you will probably the most comprehensive link to statin-related well-attributed articles, studies, and book excerpts. Knock yerself out. And ya'll come back now, ya here.

Someday maybe Dr. Graveline will turn on the editing feature, or install a spell check. Until such a time, correct that typo to read "Ya'll come back now, ya' hear?" :)

Here's another approach:

The Washington University of St Louis website has a lot of information in medical terms, go to the home page and put into the alphabetical index such things as Lipid Lowering myopathy, CoenzymeQ10 deficiency, Carnitine deficiency.

The results are in list form, but authoritative

You can get it on *www.neuro,wustl.edu/neuromuscular.html

For adverse effects of statin type drugs as published in the peer reviewed medical literature, try the Medline/PubMed site suggested in the first post, or *http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez?db=PubMed

For search terms use adverse effects or perhaps narrow down to neurological, amnesia, muscle, rhabdomyolisis, etc. Use the generic or substance name to get better coverage, as brand names common in the States may not be common internationally. If you get a hit there is a box to the right for articles like the one you got.
