ALS...

Postby eml256 » Thu May 17, 2007 5:44 pm

wondering where your ALS specialist happens to be. I corresponded briefly with a woman who was initially given a diagnosis of ALS by several neurologists for her symptoms. she was convinced they were due to lipitor therapy-so she continued to search for a neurologist who would listen to her. she found one at the Massachusetts General Hospital. after an EMG diagnostic test, this physician pronounced her condition "statin toxicity"--(following from the Mass general hosp site--hope it is helpful. perhaps you could call him......)

My specialist is at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI. Thanks for the info. If I don't get anywhere at Henry Ford, I will look into Boston.
