Questions for the UK secretary of state for health

Postby xrn » Thu May 03, 2007 5:54 pm

Hello all.

Tonight there was a TV program that allows public access to a panel of 5 polititicians in the UK. The questions are live and usually come from the large and vocal studio audience. Tonight one panel member, the secretary of state for health, Patricia Hewitt, had stated on national TV that she would answer all questions sent to her via the BBC questiontime program web-site. The programme's presenter had guaranteed to viewers to ensure that all questions would be answered and that he would personally deal with issues where questions were either ignored or not answered.

People using the web-site to ask questions are limited to 500 words.

Herewith... ;)

Is the government aware that statin therapy is highly dangerous and is destroying the lives of many patients? Why are the people being lied to about the dangers of cholesterol? Why are GPs being paid an average of £121,260 for QOF achivements? It effectively pays them again, for doing the job they are contracted to work at. The cholesterol hypothesis is unproven... no link between diet and cholesterol. Why are so many people being put on statins. Prove to me that statins are beneficial to women.

Just my 500 words.

Kind regards,
xrn
