Can Fran Help?

Postby macanimal » Sun Jan 07, 2007 4:57 pm

Hi Fran,

I noticed on some of your previous posts that you recommend an 81mg "buffered" asprin. The brand Bufferin -- that Dr Graveline recommends in his book -- only make a 325 & 500mg dose. Any brand preferences?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Dave,

I almost think it's easier to take ANY low dose aspirin and supplement with magnesium... that's the benefit of 'some' buffered aspirin... they contain magnesium.
OR get a pill splitter and quarter 325mg Bufferin.

An interesting note... while searching for ANY low dose buffered aspirin, I found on the Bristol-Myers Squibb's website... "FDA approved PRAVIGARD in June, 2003... Pravastatin and 81mg 'buffered' aspirin."

You'd think since Bristol-Myers knows buffered aspirin has benefit, they'd be the one to provide a stand alone product.
