doctor for statin toxicity

Postby gardeneyes » Sun Jul 16, 2006 1:38 am

I know a few here have mentioned a doctor in San Diego that deals with statin toxicity. I was wondering if anyone was aware of someone in the Pacific Northwest that has enough knowledge to give an accurate diagnosis. The neurologist we saw last week wants to run alot of other tests but the closest he would come to any muscle tests was agreeing to an EMG. I have read that they came come back normal, even with damage. I believe the muscle biopsy will be the best diagnostic tool, based on all that I have read. Any suggestions would be appreciated. We aren't opposed to going to San Diego but it is very difficult for my husband to fly right now with everything going on to his body.
