April 2013 Update …

Dr. Pfeiffer and his research team have successfully inserted corrected DNA into Ellie's cells - AND INTO THE MITOCHONDRIA WITHIN HER CELLS!! The genetic therapy we have been hoping for has worked…and we know this because we have seen a 5-fold increase in her cellular energy production. Seeing this possible, in the petri dish, is in itself is a miracle!!! Now research is needed to have this all work properly in the human body.


This has been mentioned on this board by me as the only potential cure for us in the future.

I am VERY surprised to read that the research has progressed this far....in vitro success
