As many of you know I am loath to recomend ANY drug, However this one seems to have real promise for statin victims.

it appears to reduce or eliminate apoptosis which is a big player here.

David:

Do you have any personal experience with the med? Are you taking it or have plans to take it yourself?

Yes I am going to give it a try...an acid test...in march I'm going to visit my daughter and her family...way to much activity.. and we'll see.

I am heartened by some of the comments by CFS and fibro sufferers in comments on some of the sites and this came to me through the adults with mito group where several are also going to try it....so we should have some real experience shortly.

Postby eml256 » Thu Jan 19, 2012 3:44 pm

DIscovered from web site for Parkinson's that dextromethorphan can be used in very small doses (ie 4.5 mg) if access to LDN not available. Product I use is Triaminic long acting for children. small measuring cup notes 1/2 tso=2.5 mgm

mmmmm no

not the same AT ALL...

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21704706

while It does appear to have the same effect of reduced demylination in autoimmune encephalomyelitis in statin damage (mito dysfunction) the demylination has another cause and generally is small fibre not spinal...
