Cognitive issues...

Postby phecksel » Sat Apr 09, 2011 8:55 pm

{sigh}

I convinced my father in law to stop taking Lipitor because it was causing serious joint/muscle issues... His doctor convinced him he was going to die if he didn't take the drug, so he went back on them, and his joint pain has gotten to the point where he can hardly walk.

Fast forward a couple of years, and my wife went to help her mother recover from surgery and she can't believe her relatively young mother is having serious cognitive issues. She started going through her large stack of daily meds (another sigh) and discovers Lipitor. Fights with her dad over several days before he finally succumbs to her pressure. Within days she is beginning to return to her old self.
