I feel that because Zetia attacks Cholesterol fromthe mucos lining of the
digestive system - that it also destroys this vital lining. Various forms of
intestinal invasion happen. Bacteria, diverticulosis can begin, lower GI pain
is common side effect. The diverticular pouches get infected - it happened to my husdband. He never had a colon problem in his life. This development needs in depth study. I insisted his colon be disected during the autopsy. He had serious diverticulitis. I will stand by this outcome.
