Severe leg cramps with Vytorin

I am listening to my body and all the posts I have read here. I have STOPPED the Vytorin 10/20 after taking it for 2 wks due to sudden onset of extreme leg pain/cramps and weakness. The pain lasted about 12 hrs. and subsided somewhat after taking Aleave (I thought it was worth a try) and was almost completely gone as of today. I am considering Rescue 1250 as an alternative. Has anyone taken this for cholesterol management? I am an R.N. and work 12 hr shifts and can't imagine having to deal with this side effect even if it was intermittent as well as interferring with my passion for biking. QUALITY OF LIFE IS A PRIORITY and to read some of these posts and how the statins have interferred with that quality is very scary.
