I should have mentioned the purity and dilution factors...
the DMSO I purchased has the same purity as the one in brooks post and is aparently not diluted so I mixed it 5 to 1 with distilled water.
the neighbor I mentioned having told me about it has been using it for at least as long as Brooks and swears by it.
