This runs completely counter to what we have been learning here.

Totally bogus. Bought and paid for "science." Should be worth a lot of money.

One of the tricks used in the write-up is to intentionally confuse and intertwine vascular dementia with Alzheimers. Two very different etiologies and pathologies. For one, Alzheimer's disease is characterized by having low blood pressure, while the reverse is true for vascular. They speak of lowering blood pressure for treatment, which is not what you look to do with Alzheimers, only with vascular. And vascular is much less common than Alzheimers, while the organization cited is an Alzheimers group.

Besides the obvious...

The last thing you want to do to an Alzheimer's patient is to lower their cholesterol. Low cholesterol is what caused the disease in the first place. Pretty shameless. Pretty typical.

Further evidence of the corruption of medicine.

What is happening is an end-game situation in Big Pharma like we have been seeing in banking. All and every trick is pulled to increase inflow of wealth until the system implodes and the beneficiaries move on.

Then the victims pay to clear up the mess through lost & foregone social provision.
