Syndicated "Annie's Mailbox' speaks of prescription dan

Postby valgators » Sat Aug 02, 2008 10:41 am

In our local paper in "Annie's Mailbox", a daughter writes about her once healthy father's health decline after a doctor put him on a statin drug and blood pressure medicine. Daughter claims both conditions were only slightly elevated at the time. As he started to develop problems, the dosages were upped. Now, ten years and many problems later, he is in a hospital too weak to move and barely functioning.

Read the article if you can. It's entitled "Are wrong prescriptions killing Dad?"

More of these stories need to appear in the paper, media and news everyday!

Hi there valgators,

I just looked for and found the article you mentioned. This is an all too common reaction from doctors to most of our own queries when it comes to the side effects that we experienced and indeed still experience after taking statins and even since stopping them.

The problem is that even when statin side effects are brought into the news/media, there is very often a happy smiling puppet who will in a humorous manner belittle any problems as minor and rare, we have all seen this happen so many times already but at least the problems are being brought to the publics attention. Some day those puppets will have to pay for misleading and indeed causing both physical and mental harm to thousands of people who may have either never taken the drugs or who would have stopped taking them after hearing about the problems others were experiencing.

All the best,
