It is entirely a political issue. Wealth covers all the bases to ensure it always wins. The only thing it fears are mass movements so these are ALWAYS nipped in the bud, usually from within by means of informers and agents provocateurs. However, Pfizer's Lipitor patent runs out in 2010 and they have failed to come up with a combo to replace it. Once all the statin compounds are being produced by Eastern generic manufacturers all sorts of dirt will suddenly appear in the media to damage their sales.
By that time the major Western pharmaceutical companies will have legally reduced their exposure to consumer action as low as Governments will allow.
I.e. don't expect "justice" to prevail.
