Other things in my B vitamins

Postby John Hope » Fri Apr 04, 2008 12:12 am

I am taking Doc Graveline's anti-inflammatory mixture and have had no problems with it at all. But I see my vitamin B complex with the 100mg B6 and 100ug B12 and Folic acid 100ug also has all kinds of other things in it:
Thiamin 100mg
Riboflavin 100mg
Niacin 100mg
Pantothenic acid 100mg
Choline Bitartrate 100mg
Inositol 100mg
PABA 30mg.

Can anyone please give some advice on whether it's wise to be having all these other things as well? Or should I look for an alternative vitamin that's not in a complex?

Not to worry: Thiamine IS B1; Riboflavin IS B2; Niacin IS B3, Pantothenic Acid IS B5; as for the rest, nothing to be concerned about. B3 though, especially as straight NIACIN, has caused some discomfort in some forum members, but if you are having no problems, I would continue.

I find that eating something naturally high in B vitamins or Folic Acid, such as lentils or spinach, will cause my discomfort to mildly to moderately worsen for a few minutes.

A tad uncomfortable, but might it be potentially injurious? Naturally for health's sake I couldn't or shouldn't avoid Folic Acid or B vitamins altogether...
