I had high cholestrol levels from, at least, 53 years old to 68 years old, but refused to take any drugs. At, 69 years old and retired, I became stupid and let my new Doctor talk me into taking Lovastatin. 7 weeks later I was having leg pains. My new doctor said, "You are just having growing old pains". About six months later, he said, " you know. You might be having a reaction to Lovastatin ". And, took me off the poison. I am now 71 years old and leg muscles still hurt. I am taking COQ10 and L-Carnitine everyday.
